Description
This nice little circuit converts G-Codes to analog signals. Send Gcode, the most widely used computer numerical control language, to the board just as you would to a 3D printer or CNC machine and you get the X, Y, Z and Q position out as an analog signal on the ports. This is great for controlling old flat bed pen plotters or any other device with analog control. The circuit is based on an Arudino Micro and four 12-bit Digital to Analog Converters (DAC). The software running on the board is a modified grbl converter for atmega32u4 (0.8c) and supports most common G-Codes for motion control. To send the GCode to the converter use The UniversalGcodeSender or any G-Code sender of your choice. The output voltage range is 0-5 V and the conversion factor from position to analog signal can be set in a dialog menu.
