Description
The OpenTheremin is an open-source theremin instrument with a large, active community. This new Eurorack Kit includes the OpenTheremin V4.5 board, as well as breakout boards to build your own modular theremin. The signal breakout board features two control voltage (CV) outputs for the volume and pitch antennas, a GATE signal, a full-size DIN MIDI connector, and a native USB-C MIDI connector, allowing seamless integration with other Eurorack modules. This makes it an ideal choice for musicians looking to expand their sound palette and incorporate the unique, touchless playing technique of the theremin into their modular setups. The kit comes with a volume and a pitch antenna equipped with solid TNC connectors. A modular system of TNC adapters and two extra antenna front panels provides flexible mounting options to integrate the antennas into the modular system.
The OpenTheremin Eurorack kit requires some experience in building Eurorack systems. If you are looking for a ready-to-play OpenTheremin, we recommend the OpenTheremin V4.5 Electronics and Antenna Kit Bundle or the OpenTheremin V4.5 Deluxe Bundle instead.
